Simple Smoothie Recipe For Glowing Skin

In the heat of summer, glowing skin has never been so urgent. Summer is full of fruits and veggies, whether they’re in the form of farmers-market finds, overflowing gardens and neighborhood deals. No need to worry about catching up with the latest expensive cleanse or facial treatment. All you will need is a blender and your favorite fruits and vegetables. As you may know, there are hardworking antioxidants and nutrients just begging to help cleanse your skin in foods like blueberries, apples, romaine lettuce, and kale.
Drinking green smoothies is one of the best rituals that you should incorporate in your life. Not only will your skin be glowing, but also after incorporating one smoothie a day in your diet for a few weeks, you will see the numbers on the scale drop! Green smoothies are an excellent source of iron, magnesium and fiber to help improve your body’s digestion and immune system.

Green “Goddess” Smoothie Recipe
Ingredients
3-5 romaine lettuce leaves
1 big handful of baby kale
5 sprigs of parsley
1/2 large lemon or 1 small lemon
1 small fuji apple
1 small banana
2 TB ground flax seeds (or combination of flax and chia seeds)
1 cup of water
5 ice cubes
1/2 – 1″ cucumber cylinder (optional)
1. Add romaine, kale, parsley, lemon, apple, ginger, cucumber, and water to the blender. Close the lid tightly. Blend for 30 seconds.
2. Add rest of the ingredients to the blender. Blend on high for about 45 seconds – 1 minute until completely smooth.
